Welcome

For years (40+) I’ve been intrigued by the concept of Deity and metaphysics.

The whole idea of Gods, Afterlives, spirits and exactly where and how those things might exist, has always fascinated me. But does a philosophical interest make me a spiritual person?

Even now I’m not certain, and I’m quite sure there are many people who share that uncertainty. Maybe I’m just being a little more actively inquisitive.

I may be inquisitive, but I’m also pragmatic. Before I take any concept seriously, it has to be either tangible or theoretically viable. Unfortunately, most forms of spirituality are neither. In fact, they are almost invariably vague and fanciful…

Life has changed so much during the last millennia, yet the desire to establish how and why everything came into being and to understand if there really is a reason for our existence, is no less prevalent than it has ever been.

Learning makes us knowledgeable, but not necessarily wise. We have learned to question everything, but rarely to explain. Too often, we destructively criticise while failing to constructively contribute; to ask more questions than we can provide answers.

Science, technology, industry, politics and commerce, have all benefitted from rapid social and intellectual progress, but many other things have suffered, including our systems of faith and ideology. People are finding their faith compromised by rational intelligence and getting lost in uncertainty, and too often that leaves the maintenance and defence of what are essentially well meaning religions and ideologies, in the hands of uncompromising fanatics.

The modern mind can no longer indulge in blind and often irrational faith. No matter how much we want to believe, what we believe has to make sense. It has to seem feasible, even if it is entirely hypothetical. The reason people have enjoyed the Star Trek series for so many years is because the writers have largely kept the story lines within the boundaries of theoretical possibility.

So I decided to do apply the same principle with the Biblical saga; to look at the evidence, the mystical claims, the theories, the stories, both factual and fantasy, and build a parallel version that is still highly speculative but better fits my mindset.

Do I believe what I’ve written? No more or less than any other ‘History of the Universe and other things’ fantasy I’ve encountered. Until there is proof, they are all just stories.

The Book of Quantism focusses largely on the Biblical saga, and although it doesn’t address every subject, it includes many. It also includes topics that are ominously absent or that simply didn’t exist at that time. It both agrees and disagrees with various aspects of established doctrines, and although it addresses many of the difficult and sometimes quite distasteful subjects, it remains upbeat, conveying an overall message that the reader must decipher for themselves.

The Book of Quantism is built around many of the fascinating topics I have discovered during my research. Some are really quite incredible. So, I though I’d create this website to explore some of those subjects in more detail.

Chapter 37

Noah

1

Noah

Once again, the Hebrew tribe is in danger. Noah and his relatives are the only uncontaminated family remaining, and their lives are under perpetual threat. The entire area is plagued with egocentric humans, Demonic Humons, and the Nephilim. Without Angelic intervention, it is unlikely Noah and his family will survive beyond their own generation.

The Angels know their help is needed, but their intervention will have to be subtle to ensure the ever watchful Demons remain unaware of their activities.

Fortunately, the naturally developing crisis the Alliance has been monitoring for some time, is about to present a solution. Excessive meltwater has been collected in the Black Sea. A large section of frozen water and mud has been acting as a plug, but it is about to give way. When it does, events will progress very quickly. The water will rapidly flood the Caspian basin with little or no warning. Noah is situated centrally in that area.

So far, there has been no indication of the imminent crisis. There has been a lot of terrible weather, and a lot of rain, which will no doubt be blamed when the sudden and unexpected rise in water level begins. By the time the people realise it is more than just the product of excessive rainfall, it will be too late to act.

2

Preparing for The Flood

Yet again, it has become necessary to impress upon the pitifully few remnants of the Hebrew tribe, the importance of their purpose. This time however, the Angels will adopt a different, more forceful strategy.

It is with regret that the Angels acknowledge the Demons have been more successful influencing Humans by employing aggressive tactics. The Demons have never attempted to establish a peaceful relationship. They have only used violence, fear and intimidation to exercise control; and the humans have duly demonstrated they deserve no better. It seems that humans are congruent with coarse brutality. Even the introduction of slavery wasn’t as much opposed as embraced. In fact, humanity immediately adopted the practice of enslaving one another whenever possible.

3

The ark

Wasting no time, the Angels plan a series of visits. The instructions are relayed directly to Noah by the Angelic emissary, Gabriel. He is told that God is deeply dissatisfied with the Human race because they have failed to obey the simple laws he put in place. He is reminded of the tribes sworn obligation to preserve the Hebrew bloodline; to keep it pure and uncontaminated. Noah must not allow his family to fraternise with anyone outside their own tribe.

It is made clear: God’s patience has run out, and in his fury he has decided to flood the entire territory. There will be no mercy. The entire population will perish. However, he has made one concession: if Noah follows God’s precise instruction, he and his family will be saved.

Noah is told he must construct an enormous boat, an Ark, of precise specification. It must be large enough to comfortably accommodate Noah’s extended family, all the animals he can collect, and enough provisions to keep them for anything up to a year. Having no means of propulsion or steering, the Ark will be little more than a floating island, but providing Noah builds it correctly, it will keep them relatively safe and dry.

When the time comes, Noah must do exactly as he is told. There will be no time for delay; the water level will rise so quickly that any living creature caught in its path will have no hope of escape. A substantial area of land will be consumed in a frighteningly short time, and once flooded, it will remain that way for several months.

The story is not entirely true; the flood will not be caused by God. It is in fact inevitable, unstoppable; but Noah does not know that. From where the family are located, it will seem as though the entire world has been flooded. There will be no land visible at all; though in reality, the flood will be isolated to just the Caspian basin.

The event will impress upon the Hebrews that the Yahweh is indeed a mighty God.

4

The People Think Noah Is Insane

The Angels leave Noah to toil alone. It is the best way. The Humans are an odd race, including the Hebrews. Enduring hardship is clearly in their nature. They like to wallow in pseudo martyrdom, and if it helps them stay focused, the Angels are happy to play along.

When the building commences, the locals think Noah is going insane. Some help, some hinder. It is irrelevant. The Angels have told him to be perfectly honest about his reasons for the project. No-one will believe him anyway. In fact, the spectacle of the extravagant building project will attract the voyeuristic population into the central area, right where the Angels want them to be.

It is a monumental task, and a demanding challenge For Noah when considering how he is the only one who has met the Angelic emissary, Gabriel. Even his family are doubting his sanity. But once again, that is the intention; they will only have Noah’s word regarding what the future holds. If they are going to support him, it must be through choice, not coercion.

5

The Water Escapes

The flood begins. Noah is instructed to load his family, animals and provisions into the Ark, then close and secure the doors. Under no circumstances can anyone else be allowed on board. His family are still doubtful, so far there have been no signs of imminent flooding, but they remain loyal and go along with Noah’s wishes, even in the face of ridicule from the rest of the people.

When the ice gives way, the water begins to rush into the Caspian basin, and by the time the people realise the rising water level is not consistent with the amount of rain falling, it is too late. They can’t outrun the flood, and they can’t get on board the Ark.

Seeing the people and animals drowning around them is heart-breaking for Noah and his family, but they can do nothing. It is the will of God, who considers it important for them to witness how brutal He can be when it is necessary.

Eventually, the cries of the people clinging to the ark fade to nothing.

6

Much Later

Weeks later the rain abates and the water stops rising; then finally, after seven months have passed, it begins to recede. As it does, the Ark is carried by the wind until it comes to rest by the mountains of Ararat.

When the flood waters are completely gone, there are no people, no animals, and most significantly, no Nephilim remaining. The land is fresh and rejuvenated, providing an ideal environment for Noah’s family to settle and resume their lives undisturbed.

On board the Space Ark, the UCC reports that the Demons have learnt of the flood and are planning to investigate. To them, the event will look exactly like what it is: a natural occurrence. For now there is little that can be done and nothing to be achieved by risking confrontation, so the Angels decide to make themselves scarce and undertake another time consuming journey.

They will return in a few generations to see how things are progressing.

7

A Seven Rule Covenant

As they leave, Noah is given seven rules by which his people must abide.

In addition to herbs and plants, they are permitted to eat meat from herbivorous animals; but it must first be killed and drained of blood. Swine are to be avoided. The Hebrews must establish a court of law to issue punishment for the crimes of violence, blasphemy, indecency, idolatry, and stealing. The act of murder must be punishable by death.

They are told that as a symbol of the covenant, a rainbow will always accompany the rain. The rainbow will remind them how, even when God is not obviously present, he is still watching over them, which of course, in the form of the UCC, is perfectly true.

It is made clear, when other people inevitably begin to re-populate the area, it is imperative that the Hebrew tribe stick with their own, and continue to abide by the laws of the new covenant, because if they do not, when God returns, they will be severely punished.

In reality, there would be many easier ways for the Alliance to protect Noah and his family from the flood. They could tell them to move to a safer area, or they could just take them away and return them when the water clears. But the situation is an opportunity for the Angels to create an impressive and memorable event that will be passed down the generations; a story that will confirm the power and wrath of God, and how God protects the worthy but severely punishes those who enrage him with their disobedience.

Telling the story of the great flood will be an active reminder that compliance is the key to ensuring God’s favour. Issuing threats of retribution has made the Angles uncomfortable, but they have begrudgingly accepted it is necessary. Harsh punishment is a crude deterrent, but then, the Humans are a crude race.

Chapter 36

Enoch

1

Unreliable

Humans are proving to be no better than countless other species that have shown great promise, and then plummeted into obscurity the moment they have needed to apply even the smallest degree of self-discipline. However, unlike other species, the Humans have a unique advantage, because they are the last hope of survival for the Angels.

Nevertheless, the situation is frustrating the Alliance. Clearly, for all their incompetence and crudity, the Demons are winning the battle for supremacy. They have no concerns for the future, and have accepted that as a species they are doomed; so they are satisfying themselves knowing their efforts to dominate humanity have been more successful than those of the Angels. It is a hollow victory, but enough to satisfy their simplistic arrogance.

The Demons themselves, spend only short and very occasional periods in the Earth’s atmosphere, but through their technology and intermediaries, they still obsessively monitor the activities of their Earth-bound associates. That is why they are known as Watchers.

2

Nephilim

The number of Nephilim has grown and they are becoming troublesome, even to the Demons. They are physical giants, with enormous appetites. They constantly demand large quantities of food, primarily meat, from the Humans around them, who are too frightened and intimidated to refuse.

Unfortunately, even by the standards of Demons, the Nephilim are crude and barbaric. If the Humans cannot produce enough food, in their anger, the Nephilim will often slay them without mercy, sometimes even eating the Humans they have killed.

They rape and pillage at will; even fornicate with the livestock if the desire takes them; but their DNA is corrupt, mutated and alien. Had they been anywhere else, the UCC would probably not bother to intervene. It would ignore their nefarious behaviour, knowing that as with most vile species, even if not through their own doing, they would eventually face eradication by the Nature of Phi. But the Nephilim are in the same area as the Hebrews, which makes them a clear and present danger. That makes them significant. Something must be done.

3

Frozen Opportunity

An opportunity to stealthily intervene has been identified. Following the recent ice age, there are still areas in the northern hemisphere that are covered in ice, but the planet is warming rapidly, and the ice is melting.

From their advantageous position, the Angels can watch the events unfold. The planet is becoming increasingly humid, and producing a great deal of rain, with regular occurrences of severe localised flooding. One such incident is about to happen in the Caspian basin, where the small Hebrew tribe resides.

4

Enoch

Currently, the most significant member of the Hebrew tribe is a man by the name of Enoch, a descendent of Seth. Enoch is a good, decent, and trustworthy man, who the Angels have decided to take into their confidence.

Enoch is the first Human to be taken aboard the Space Ark as a guest. Once he is acclimatised, he is shown the Earth, and the area in which he lives, from the perspective of God.

He is told the history of the Seraphim, including the Demons, their relationship with the Nephilim, and the reasons why they are so dangerous. He is told the truth about the Angels’ long-term plans, and their efforts to nurture a special extended family, that will eventually become a revised version of the Human race, living in a world that has been renewed and rejuvenated.

Enoch is told, the road his people must take will be a long and difficult one, and that even though God and his Angels will do all they can to protect the Hebrews, much of the work, and all of the self-control and discipline, will have to be applied by the people themselves.

It is imperative the Hebrew tribe understand how only those who remain faithful to their cause, and do not allow their blood to be contaminated by outsiders, will have any hope of being saved by God. When the day of judgement comes, there will be no mitigation, and no mercy. Those who qualify will be saved, those who do not, will perish.

Enoch is told that during the time of his grandchildren there will be a great flood. When that time comes, they will receive further instruction from God. They must obey his demands without question. Enoch is then given assurance that one day there will be a Messiah. He will unite the Hebrew people and lead them as their king in their own lands, which the Angels will provide. It is a promise made by God, the Yahweh himself.

5

The Book of Enoch

Now Enoch has seen the power and heavenly status of God with his own eyes, and he knows it is real; so he is returned to Earth. He is told to record exactly what he has seen so that it can be shared and understood by his people. Unfortunately, because the experience has had a traumatic and profound impact on Enoch’s senses, he struggles to find words suitable to describe his incredible adventure.

When Enoch eventually produces a book that details his experiences to the best of his ability, it is received with disbelief; callously disregarded and cast aside by the countless emerging institutionalised religions. They would sooner deny such complicated issues than try to explain them.

The book of Enoch is hidden away and contemptuously disregarded; ignored by successive generations that are either incapable or unwilling to consider, let alone accept, its content. But it is also preserved and kept safe. When the time is right, the Book of Enoch will re-emerge and be embraced by those with the vision and wisdom to understand the secrets it reveals.

The Book of Quantism

By Darren Cleave

Chapter 35

Corrupted

1

The Angels Return

Knowing the Demons are present, both on the Earth and encamped on the far side of the moon, the Angels return in stealth. The UCC has warned them of what they should expect, but nevertheless, what they find is a huge disappointment. The human population is in disarray. They have embraced corruption, and every colony the Angels carefully prepared, almost a thousand years previous, seems to have been compromised.

2

Proactive Demon Culture

The Demons have infiltrated civilisations on every continent. Their influence has spread like wildfire amongst the indigenous population, who have a seemingly insatiable passion for iniquity.

The humans are wonderful creatures, but their tremendous potential is ruined by their willing submission to the Devil. Their greed and hedonism are as bad as any race the UCC has previously encountered.

The combination of their own depravity and the corrosive influence of the Demons, is making the task of elevating humans to the level of Ultra-Sentience an arduous challenge.

From the outset, the Demons have known they stand little chance of survival. To produce a pure Seraphim, the Demon child requires both parents to be Demon, but their numbers are few with virtually none being either suitable or compatible. Even then they don’t have the technical ability to overcome the problem of environmental incompatibility.

That was why they wasted no time in crudely crossbreeding with both humans and several other native species, the products of which were almost invariably a horrendously malformed progeny, fit only for termination. Nevertheless, eventually, and entirely by chance, certain Demon males and human females managed to produce a passable hybrid, but their Souls are invariably destitute, because their bodies are genetically void of any telepathic ability, making them as spiritually mute as their alien masters.

Initially, the hybrid offspring had recognisable Demonic characteristics, but after a few generations they became sufficiently indistinguishable to mingle unnoticeably within the human population. Consequently, their true heritage is largely irrelevant and forgotten. The UCC, and now the Angels, refer to them as Humon, a combination of the words Demon and human.

Even though they are assimilating quite seamlessly, they have one undetectable aspect that is ominously relevant: Regardless of their partner, a Humon can only produce another Humon, meaning they are progressively corrupting the human population in a cruel reversal of how the Angels emerged. It is a terrible threat to the Eden project.

3

Nephilim

There have been other, less subtle variations of the Demon hybrid. Few have endured, but one rather distasteful example has managed to thrive. It is the result of a personal project, conducted by a Demonic medical officer named Anak. The mutant strain, sometimes referred to as the Sons of Anak, are called Nephilim, named after a famous Demonic warrior.

The Nephilim stand as much as twice the height of a human. They are strong, aggressive, and obedient, making them useful for both laborious and combative tasks. The Demonic intermediaries have been utilising the Nephilim for military purposes and in the building of enormous pyramids, constructed in honour of their Demonic gods and masters.

4

The Moon Base

1. The Angels are begrudgingly irritated by the Demons’ decision to inhabit the Moon.

Utilising and populating the habitation complex was something the Angels chose not to do. It was a mistake. The facility has provided the Demons with a distinct advantage. The only small consolation is that the internal propulsion system and weaponry have remained inoperable, meaning habitation is the only advantage. Nevertheless, it is a tactical loss.

5

Furious

The Alliance are furious with both the Demons and the humans. Between them they are ruining what started out as a straightforward process.

They have considered confronting the Demons, but the risks are too high, and as things stand, the Demons have less to lose. Tactically it would be a close battle. Both vessels have weaponry and a number of small ancillary craft that although not intended for combat, can still be utilised. The Ark is possibly better armed and capable of defending itself, but unlike the Demon ship, it is not built for offensive manoeuvring.

Additionally, although the number of full Demons is dangerously low, they now have a substantial number of Humons acting as back up crew, foot soldiers, and ancillary staff.

6

Bloodline

The humans, especially the Humons, seem incapable of behaving themselves. They are weak willed; easily tempted and led astray. Their capacity for self-discipline is abysmal. While under pressure, they are full of promises of conformity, but as soon as they are left to their own devices, they submit to temptation almost immediately.

The Demons have been more successful than they could have hoped for. They have succeeded in corrupting almost every group the Angels have prepared… almost. There is one pure Angelic hybrid group remaining: the Hebrews, but they are surrounded by precisely the opposite of what they need. The immediate population is largely egocentric humans, but they are being infested by their Humon counterparts and the intimidating Nephilim. The Hebrew tribe is in dire need of assistance, and immediate action is required.

7

Continued Campaign

The Angels need to remain focussed. The only important matter is to maintain the Hebrew genetic lineage, which is in imminent danger of being lost.

The Alliance have discussed alternative ways of proceeding, but although the plan they have is in jeopardy, it has been a long time in the making, and is still their best option.

The UCC briefly considers applying a tactical virus, in the hope of genetically preventing cross contamination. Viruses have become a regrettable necessity for the UCC when having to occasionally affect radical change within a species. Sometimes, in the early stages of development, the UCC will realise a substantial genetic error has occurred, but sheer quantity makes its own direct intervention impossible.

At such times, the UCC will create and introduce a virus to initiate change; but viruses are crudely precarious, and highly unpredictable. They are a desperate and potentially lethal means of applying contagious genetic modification. It is a last resort that should only be used in dire circumstances, where even disastrous failure is acceptable.

Viruses are also an unnatural oddity; neither animate or inanimate. They can attract and often confuse the Nature of Phi, because they don’t evolve as much as mutate. The mutated strains can become stronger, adaptive, and more aggressive; prone to attacking and spreading exponentially with frightening rapidity. Once released, a virus cannot be recalled, and it might appear to be eradicated, when in reality it is lying dormant, waiting for the right time to re-emerge. Also, the humans, Humons, and Hebrews are so very closely related, too genetically similar to be certain of precision targeting.

After consideration, the Alliance decides that evolutionary progress must be allowed to continue organically. The UCC will continue to nurture the process at a natural pace. If it isn’t rushed, and doesn’t include any changes that are too radical, the Nature of Phi should remain passive.

8

Seth

The Hebrew bloodline almost failed before it started. Even now, by comparison to general population growth, the number of pure hybrids is pitifully small. After a thousand years of effort, they have failed to progress beyond a single family. They had been given clear instructions as to what they could and couldn’t do, and it hadn’t been complicated: Reproduce, and keep away from people who are not from your tribe.

They didn’t manage it for one single generation. Adam and Eve had produced three sons and a couple of daughters. The first two sons had been a waste of time; the third, Seth, who wasn’t actually Adam’s, but the offspring of another tribe member, had fared slightly better.

Fortunately, because of Seth, the precious genes survived. He vigilantly upheld the responsibility of keeping the tribe together and the bloodline intact. He alone has saved the Eden project.

9

A New World

At some point in the distant future, a decisive battle is inevitable. Consequently, in readiness, the Demons are insisting their minions remain vigilantly prepared. The Demons expect little more than posturing from the Angels, but amongst the human population they are determined to make the war as spectacular and conclusive as possible.

The Demons are making a mistake in underestimating the severity of the Alliance’s commitment. The Alliance will stop at nothing to fulfil their objective, but now is not the time for a standoff, and posturing is not their way. Fulfilling their objective is all that matters, and for the project to succeed, the target is 144,000 uncontaminated Hebrews; fully evolved, spiritually receptive, and genetically compatible. Once that objective is achieved, the select few will be collected and placed aboard the Space Arc. Only then will the Demons discover the severity of the Angels’ intent.

The Angels have a powerful facility within their arsenal, one it seems they may have to use. It isn’t a weapon, it is the terraforming equipment, and the Demons are unaware of how powerful and vastly improved it has become. It now has the capacity to gently, but quite literally, dismantle the surface of the planet. If it is used, even though the critical seeds of life will be preserved to use as a foundation upon which a new world can be built, much of the indigenous flora and fauna will be lost.

It will be a drastic action, but the new world must be a place where the dregs of the corrupted and contaminated human race no longer exist, and the Demonic infestation has been eradicated. When the Ark returns, the Angels will expect the Demons on the moon to have perished, and the moon to once again, be just a moon. If, for any reason it is not, the Angels will make sure it becomes that way…

The intention will then be to abandon the Ark, or maybe even land it, so it can be utilised. They will disconnect themselves from the complications of interstellar travel, and the few remaining Angels will be able to live out their lives amongst their new Hebrew family, as they peacefully and sympathetically re-inhabit the Earth.

The newly formed society will be empathically driven by cooperation, not competition. A society that respects and protects its planet and its fellow inhabitants. Every individual will work towards a greater good, and to create a Spiritual Portfolio built upon the memories of doing the things they value with the people they love.

Chapter 34:. Satan

1

Arrival

The Demons have been following the trail of the Angelic ark for a long time, but unlike the Angels, they have not known their destination. It is of little relevance; even if they had known, their preparation would have been no different. The Demons are expecting conflict.

When they reach Earth, their arrival is something of a disappointment. There are no Angels to be found, and no conflict to be had. They find only a fertile, peaceful planet, with a vast selection of flora and fauna and an obvious Alpha-Species. The humans are intelligent, and their population is expanding rapidly into a number of independent societies.

Although the Demons are certain the Angels have visited the planet, they can find no indication of where they have been or what they have done. They obviously suspect the Angels have been interacting with the Alpha-Species, but can find no evidence of what those interactions might have been.

2

Satan

The original leader of the Demon renegades had once been an Angel called Lucifer, who chose to accept treatment for the condition. Consequently, he lost his Q I ability, and strayed back towards Demonic behaviour. Nevertheless, he retained some of his Angelic wisdom, which gained him the respect of his fellow Demons.

Lucifer died early in the voyage. His successor is entirely Demon. His name is Satan, and his demeanour is aggressive, even for a Demon. He is merciless and uncompromising. As they arrived, Satan had prepared himself to die in battle with the Angels, so he was bitterly frustrated to find them not there. He has since had time to calm down, and now realises it was a good thing: the Demons also have grave concerns about the continuity of their species.

However, if Satan decides to use humans to alleviate that problem, his methods of interaction will be much cruder than those of the Angels. It is unlikely he will spend much time considering the moral and technical implications. He will have no interest in conducting a carefully planned, cooperative process of integration. His will be a psychologically hostile invasion. The Demons will introduce themselves peacefully, charm their way into favour, and then use their intelligence and technology to take control.

On reflection, Satan is pleased the Angels are absent. It will allow him to get on with his business uninterrupted. It will also give the Demons time to prepare for when the Angels return.

3

The Moon

It isn’t long before the Demons also discover that  Earth’s oddball satellite isn’t all it initially appears to be, but their approach is very different.

They too find the moon base, but to them it represents a very useful outpost, so they waste no time in occupying the underground facility, safely hidden on the moon’s far side, facing away from Earth.

By nature, the Demons are rather more industrious than the Angels. They quickly utilise the habitation centre and even get some of the alien machinery operational. The base gives them an ideal off-world place to live, and somewhere they can defend when the Angels return, if it becomes necessary.

4

A Passively Aggressive Invasion

The UCC can only observe as the Demons make their plans. They have an immediate advantage because they find the human females attractive; and although the human males are quite aggressive, they are nothing the Demons can’t handle.

There are no negotiations. The Demons present themselves and almost immediately begin intimidating the humans into submission. All humans are treated as a lesser species, with only the more desirable females being taken as concubines and given a higher status.

The first Demonic action is to abduct a series of suitable females and begin crossbreeding experiments; a crude process that results in many terrible failures. Nevertheless, they eventually manage to establish an acceptable standard of interspecies breeding. The resulting hybrid is far from perfect and will never be accepted by the Nature of Phi, but the Demons care little about such issues, and the new breed suits their purpose.

The initial hybrid creatures are largely Demonic and intensely loyal. Physically, they differ slightly to the humans: They have elongated heads and larger eyes, their complexion is lighter, they are taller, they suffer from breathing issues and are sensitive to the sun; but by limiting their exposure they are able to manage, and with each iteration they become better adapted to the environment. Their advanced technical and intellectual ability gives them an advantage, enabling them to quickly take control of several societies around the globe.

Through their minions, the Demons teach the indigenous population lots of new skills: farming and building techniques, mathematics and astronomy; politics and advanced social structure.

5

Supreme Rule

Within a short period, the Demon offspring rule supreme, allowing the Demons themselves to spend most of their time on the moon, only visiting Earth to exercise control over their minions and to collect supplies. Direct contact with the humans is kept to a minimum, and even then, communication is largely conducted by their hybrid intermediaries.

The humans are forced to harvest food and minerals while the Demons behave like gods. Their intentions are entirely selfish: to survive as long as possible whilst ruling the planet, and of course, to destroy any plans made by the Angels.

It seems the Demons are bound to succeed. They have established themselves in several societies, guiding them towards being self-sufficient and progressive. But it is an illusion. The Demons have made no effort to advance humans on a psychological level, so their advancements are premature and uncultured, making them insecure and self-destructive.

Weak

To the UCC the humans are disappointing. So far, even when disregarding the influence of the Demons, the efforts of the Alliance have produced very few positive results. Humans are weak and easily corrupted; intelligent but devious. They have embraced and worshipped the Demons as the false gods they are, but at the same time, they have watched and learned.

They mimic Demonic narcissism; and in their quest for self promotion, wantonly abandon what little morality they have, allowing themselves to become selfish and hedonistic; entirely dominated by the Devil.

The UCC is dismayed. There are almost no spiritual tendencies remaining in human society. They have adopted the Demons polytheism, even believing they too have the potential to become gods. They flaunt their indulgence and debauchery and take pride in their gluttony.

The Demons gleefully watch the corruption, encouraging the humans to indulge in their own ruination, while lapping up their adulation and regularly gorging themselves on the burnt sacrificial flesh of animals and humans alike.

The Angels purposefully hid their chosen people in isolated areas, but the corrupted population is spreading so rapidly it is reaching into even the most remote locations. The Demons have been successful. Their seed is strong and spreading rapidly. They don’t know exactly what the Angels did during their time amongst the humans, so in the hope of disturbing or even completely ruining the Angelic plan, they have created as much disruption as possible. Their hybrid offspring have infiltrated and corrupted massive sections of the population all over the world, and to the watchful UCC, the lights of Q I ability are going out like candles in a storm.

Told from the perspective of a unique and enigmatic protagonist, the Book of Quantism is a relentless tale of aliens, quantum physics, prophets, religion, politics, time travel, souls, and the afterlife that revitalises the ancient concept of creation, from the birth of the Universe right up to the Absolute Present Moment.

Together with Angels, Demons, a space ark, and an Eden project, the Book of Quantism introduces new concepts of: The UCC (Universal Collective Consciousness), Spiritual Portfolios, the Nature of Phi, Quantum Interconnection (QI), and the state of Ultra-Sentience.

A radical alternative history of humankind that culminates in an eerily familiar crisis and a critical question – Can Humanity be saved from the universal curse of Socio-Insanity…?

Chapter 33:. Heightened Responsibility

1

Heightened Responsibility

The UCC has almost completed the construction of a spiritual afterlife. There will no doubt be endless refinements to make, but a functional system is in place and active.

It had been a distressing and reluctant necessity for the UCC and the Yahweh to inform the Angels that the afterlife their ancestors assumed awaited them, in fact did not exist, and despite their beliefs, they did not have a Spirit. There will be no relatives there to greet the Angels when they die, and there will be no connection or reunification, other than with whatever vague representation the individual might hold within their own Spiritual Portfolio. Unfortunately, if they didn’t know their relatives in life, they will not know them in the afterlife either.

Discovering they would never meet their ancestors was understandably heart-breaking, but there was good news too. At least their ancestors’ faith had not been in vain, because from this generation forward, every Angel will have an active ‘Soul’, that albeit sprinkled with aspects of the Devil, will eventually be released into the afterlife as a Spirit.

2

An Understandable Mistake

The Angels may currently be the best example of advanced beings, but they are not perfect. They had been convinced they could dismiss the Devil and master the Ego. They had been wrong. They are undoubtedly the most righteous creatures the UCC has encountered, but they are still passively egocentric, and a little smug.

They have had to understand and accept that although their egocentric persona, the Devil, will not be active in the afterlife, there is still a possibility of it effectively prevailing. If, during life, it has substantially corrupted the collective personality, even after it has gone, its influence will remain as an unavoidable part of the Spirit.

3

Education

Thoroughly understanding the importance of maintaining an equilibrium between the Soul and the Devil is a skill the Angels have largely mastered, but it is going to be a momentous challenge for the Humans.

It is something of an irony, where the Angels endeavoured to gain a Soul in order to raise themselves above the Demons; the Humans have been given a Soul, yet choose to act like Demons. They are unmistakably dominated by the egocentric persona, and if anything, the balance is growing worse. Their Soul is simply not making enough effort. Consequently, as it loiters around in the background, the Devil is filling the Spiritual Portfolio with undesirable data.

Only education can rectify the imbalance. The Angels must become teachers. Humans must learn the advantages of righteousness, and appreciate how gaining the capacity for the gentle telepathic communication of Q I, will enable the exchange of empathic understanding and weaken the egocentric influence. It is a daunting prospect that will require a great deal of time and enormous conscious effort; all to gain rewards that will be largely intangible… so it will also require faith. The Angels remember their plight with the Demons only too clearly. Once again, the spiritual journey is going to be an arduous one.
